Marcin Majchrowski – announcer

Musicologist and music journalist. Graduate of the Faculty of History at the University of Warsaw. Associated with Polish Radio Program 2. He is a presenter of music and music-journalistic bands, commentator of broadcasts and retransmissions of concerts and opera performances (Filharmonia Dwójki, Opera Evening), and he also hosts his own radio shows. He has also created monographic radio shows devoted to the music of Classicism and Romanticism (including Joseph Haydn’s 104 Symphonies, Romanticism Known and Unknown, My Times Will Yet Come, or Gustav Mahler’s Symphony). He is the author of many interviews with musicians, scientists, people of science and culture. In 2013, he co-created a series of radio shows entitled The Path to Beauty – A Guide to the Works of Witold Lutosławski. He is the author of journalistic texts, reviews and interviews published, among others, in: Ruch Muzyczny, Muzyka w Mieście and on the website www.dwutygodnik.com. He won the Golden Microphone award in 2010 – a prestigious award of the Polish Radio.
