Wojciech Sztyk – bass

Musical actor, director and scriptwriter. Cultural animator and culture expert. Soloist singer of the Representative Artistic Ensemble of the Polish Army. He graduated with distinction from the G. and K. Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź in the solo singing class of prof. dr hab. P. Miciński (as a baritone). Graduate of cultural studies at the Institute of Polish Culture at the University of Warsaw (specialization in anthropology of performances and theater) and Postgraduate Studies for Culture Managers at the Warsaw School of Economics. Finalist of the 6th International J. Perotti Vocal Competition in Ueckermunde. He took part in vocal master classes led by, among others, S. Leiferkus, L. Odinius, A. Bonnema, M. Habela, B. Makala, R. Cortesi and S. Martinaityte. For his scientific work ‘Theatralization of the Enlightenment Ritual of Passage as exemplified by the Lyrical Tragedy Castor et Pollux by Jean-Philippe Rameau’, he received the prestigious J. Got Special Award granted by the Z. Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw. He is one of the founders of the artistic collective Soul Sound, with which, as a co-director, scriptwriter and performer, he created, among others, the play Pustostany based on R. Schumann and the series of performances From Opera to Hollywood, From Opera to Broadway and From Opera to Vision, which received awards at national reviews and festivals.
